Culturally’s Fiction Writing course is designed for those who are interested in learning the basics of brainstorming, writing, and editing a fiction story. Writing is an inherently subjective craft, but students will be introduced to some objective factors that make up the craft, such as story elements, literary techniques, and types of editing. These topics can build the student’s fiction writing foundation, which can be carried over to various writing projects they choose to partake in the future.

Lessons are divided into various chapters, with each chapter highlighting a specific story element or technique through slideshows, videos, readings with discussion guides, quizzes, games, and prompts for students to try themselves. Upon completion of the course, students have hopefully gained the main knowledge to craft their own fiction story; they can apply the lessons they’ve learned in this course to even write some more!
