My solo show “Boys Wanna Get With Me, Girls Wanna Get With Me” opens June 7 at Stella Flame Gallery in the Hamptons. The title is from a song my sister wrote. She was in the music industry for 20 years and passed away in 2022. We were two halves of one soul. This show is going to be political. The climate has been so polarized. I think it’s important to talk about things, even the uncomfortable stuff.
Some of the pieces are ambiguous, and I know some will trigger strong responses. I think it’s necessary. I want to ignite conversation. I want people to look, feel, and talk—even if they disagree.

VIVID is the first solo exhibition by Graham Gurr at Arthall Gozo. With large canvases painted with strikingly bright and intense colors, the artist invites us to delve into a world of celebration and good vibes. Fantasy lands painting party with flatness and naivety are put together like patchwork.
The exhibition also includes two large paintings filled with human shapes in a pop art style: a social commentary on the lack of communication, physical interaction, and isolation brought in by social media.

EXHIBITION: VIVID, GRAHAM GURR
Through my professional work, I come into contact with so many different situations and conditions of the human body that I have gained a wider perspective. While the human body is mostly a work of art from an aesthetic perspective, the biological function is much more impressive.

"Contours of Being" brings together the evocative works of Duke Chinedu Mark, David Okoi, and Toba Kayode Samuel—three rising voices reshaping the landscape of contemporary Nigerian art. Through meticulous ballpoint drawings, vibrant oil paintings, and textured mixed media compositions, the exhibition explores how identity, memory, and resilience are etched into the lived experiences of a new generation.
Rooted in diverse regional backgrounds but united by a profound commitment to storytelling, these artists offer deeply personal and communal narratives that honor African heritage while confronting the complexities of the present.
