Isabell Sliwinski | Executive Director, London Group

After witnessing repeated funding cuts to school arts programs, the “pay-to-play” elitism of art, and the disheartening discouragement many face when pursuing a career in the arts, Isabell founded Culturally Arts Collective—an international nonprofit and community dedicated to connecting, empowering, and supporting artists globally. Alongside a dedicated team of arts advocates, she built a platform committed to equity, accessibility, and global reach in the arts.
Isabell is a lifelong artist and dancer with a multidisciplinary practice and a professional background in special project development, community outreach, and K–12 education coordination for the McNay Museum and other premier contemporary art museums across Texas. She has extensive experience curating and managing private collections, specialized in Baroque, watercolor, figurative work, and Abstract Expressionism art markets. Prior to her work with Culturally Arts Collective, she worked for private collectors, focusing on purchasing, managing, curating, and maintaining collections of 20th-century Slavic and Eastern European masters.
Isabell has a BS in Finance from American University in Washington, DC and MSc Investments from Imperial College London. She brings expertise in investment management and art as an alternative asset class to analyze and introduce investment-grade emerging artworks. Her innovative work with Culturally Arts Collective has earned her a spot in the American Business Journal and DCInno’s 25 Under 25 in Entrepreneurship 2022 cohort.

Her focus when curating exhibitions prioritizes well-defined and cohesive narratives that will deeply resonate with intended audiences. She greatly values the relationship between artist, curator, and audience, and understands the value of open, honest, and genuine communication between all parties.
Isabelle’s education in art history spans from ancient art and architecture to contemporary and emerging artists and movements. She feels most inspired by work that challenges conventions and embraces vulnerability, inviting viewers to see the world through new and empathetic lenses. Her curatorial practice is grounded in storytelling, inclusivity, and an interdisciplinary lens shaped by her background in psychology. Yukang Tao is an interdisciplinary artist, curator and arts educator whose practice spans experimental animation, interactive media, video, and performance. Originally from China and now based in New York, he is a curatorial assistant and creative creator with Culturally Arts Collective, for Through the Eyes of a Child at Culturally Arts Collective, he helped shape the exhibition’s vision of childishness as a radical language of freedom and imagination. Tao worked closely with international artists to curate a dialogue between innocence and critique, reframing nostalgia not as sentiment, but as an emancipatory force that challenges conformity and rational control. Tao’s artistic research examines the entanglement of gender, technology, and corporeality through a lens informed by both engineering logic and poetic sensibility.
His works featured in international exhibitions including SIGGRAPH, ISEA, and the Arte Laguna Prize, analyze sensual and social complexities through data-driven forms, transforming mechanical systems into emotional landscapes. As a gay artist struggling from Confucian and hetero-patriarchal structures, he channels personal experiences of otherness into a broader exploration of posthuman empathy and media self-absorption. Educated in both civil engineering in China and computer arts at Syracuse University, Tao constructs immersive experiences that question authorship, identity, and the evolving relationship between humanity and machine, inviting audiences into a new terrain where art becomes both algorithm and emotion.
