What do you aim to say by the themes in your art?
The common theme I try to weave into my artwork is capturing the beauty in the mundane and utilizing art and poetry as outlets for self-expression and self- transformation. Regarding my collage-style artwork, there is a balance between order and chaos that it commonly found through this medium.
Where does your inspiration come from?
I can be inspired by almost anything when looking through the artist’s eye. My great appreciation and curiosity for life, nature, and the complexities of the human experience all can be great sources of inspiration for me. On the other side of that coin, pain, suffering, and adversity also fuel my inspiration and often lead me back to the arts.
Do you have experiences that impacted your art?
I would say traveling and exploring different levels of consciousness were both two major contributions which has impacted my art to evolve
Do you feel your art challenges existing barriers?
My art challenges existing barriers only within myself. I always trying to push my comfort zone and often surprise myself with the results of my creations, especially when designs are not pre-planned. When my creative juices are flowing, I always surrender to the canvas and release what needs to be expressed.
What are your long-term artistic goals?

My long-term artistic goals are to dabble in more mediums so I can continue to learn and grow as an artist and add more tools in my toolkit. Since I also work in the mental health field, I would love to incorporate art and poetry into my workspace, so I have been looking into specifying in expressive arts therapies, but that’s still up in the air.
What advice do you have for aspiring artists?
As a fellow perfectionist, it’s important to remember that the imperfections are what give your art character and depth; that’s what makes it art! Sometimes we need to get out of our own way and just make a mess and see what comes of it. Freely tapping into your creative spirit will evoke expressions from the heart and soul which shouldn’t not be tampered by our inner critic
