Learn ballet, contemporary, jazz, Bharthanatyam, and more from professional or certified dancers
Intro to Bharthanatyam Dance
In this class, you will get an introduction to the basics of this art form and learn short, choreographed patterns to get a better understanding of what Bharatanatyam is.
We will be going through a full barre with tendus, degages, rond de jambes, battements, and more before finishing in the center with a little choreography!
We will do some mobilization excercises to warm up, and then a traditional ballet class with a full barre including pliés, tendus, degages, and more, along with combinations in center and center technique work.
We’ll go over jazz technique including turns, leaps, and kicks, and learn a fun combination to “Runaway Baby” by Bruno Mars!
Learn technique in center, progressions and scores across the floor, and choreography in center. Contemporary focuses on emotion, legwork coordination, improv, and changes in speed and direction through influences of Duncan, Cunningham, and Graham.

These will be recorded over Zoom with a member of our education department or can be conducted via email, and they will be published on our website under our education resources.
