ARTIST STATEMENT
“Tea Between Us” is a quiet moment, shared. It’s not about what’s said, but everything that isn’t, the glance, the pause, the warmth of just being there. I’m drawn to these kinds of scenes, where something intimate unfolds in stillness.
I work with a blend of digital and traditional techniques, trying to capture the softness of memory. My focus is often on women’s inner worlds, the everyday rituals of connection, and the small emotional landscapes that live in silence.
This piece, like much of my work, is about presence, about what it means to sit together and simply exist, with or without words. I like to think of it as a visual whisper.
I work with a mix of digital and traditional techniques to create soft, atmospheric scenes where form and color gently blur the line between the real and the imagined. Inspired by memory, migration, and domestic quiet, my art seeks to preserve fleeting feelings: the warmth of shared tea, the comfort of companionship, the poetry of silence.
I’m drawn to what’s almost forgotten, small gestures, pastel light, muted conversations. In this piece, as in much of my practice, I invite the viewer to slow down and listen to what remains unsaid.
