Gabrielle Aruta-Filo Sofi Arts Owner- Gabrielle Aruta is a fine arts professional with 15 years of experience working with museums, auction houses and in curating and presenting art exhibitions in the US and abroad. In 2015, she completed the Appraisers Association of America educational training program at New York University to become a fine and decorative arts appraiser. She founded Filo Sofi Arts in 2017, a contemporary art gallery and progressive education organization dedicated to the advancement of critical thinking, art appreciation, ethical decision making and philosophy for children and adults. Having come from a background in academic philosophy, but with a passion for bringing philosophy to the general public, Aruta has effectively utilized her graduate degree in applied ethics and her international training as a philosophical counselor to deepen and enhance the role of a dealer, appraiser or art advisor in her client's lives.
Kourosh Mahboubian-Art Dealer and Curator- Kourosh Mahboubian is a New York based art dealer, advisor and curator, as well as a Certified Member of the Appraisers Association of America. He founded and ran Cyrus Gallery from 1988 to 1993 and has run his advisory and consulting firm Kourosh Mahboubian Fine Art, since 1993. His belief that art is a necessity rather than a luxury is his driving principle for providing honorable, friendly service, backed by the expertise and perspective that come from over three decades of experience in the art business.
Shari Weschler-Costal Contemporary Gallery Owner and International Exhibitionist- Shari Weschler, branded as Sumo Bunni, is an American figural narrative painter who exhibits nationally and internationally. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from the Maryland Institute College of Art, with concentration in painting and art history. While attending MICA she also studied drawing, printmaking and gelatin silver photography. Weschler is owner and director of Coastal Contemporary Gallery founded May of 2018 in Newport, Rhode Island. The gallery represents over thirty national and regional artists with an expanding list of guests, including international artists. Weschler has acted as a board member, curator, co-curator, juror and portfolio reviewer for other prestigious galleries, associations and collaboratives. Her exhibition history includes over thirty solo and forty group shows and has been published extensively.
