About the Event
Description: In this class, you will get an introduction to the basics of this art form, information on where it originated from, and learn short choreographed patterns to get a better understanding of what Bharatanatyam is. Anyone who is interested in learning about this art form is welcome! You do not have to have your video on.
Instructor Bio
Keerthi is a third-year Computer Engineering student at the University of Cincinnati. She has been learning Bharatanatyam since she was 4 years old and finished her training by completing her Arangetram, graduation performance, in 2018 under the tutelage of Anupama Mirle, the director and founder of Nrityarpana School of Performing Arts. She has always loved this art form as dance is a great tool for self-expression and loves to be connected to her Indian culture through dance.
