Rolling hills of Pueblo Edén

Artist: Sabina Puppo

Based in Pueblo Edén, Uruguay and Virginia, United States

Most people travel to Uruguay for its gorgeous and tranquil beaches. Few people know about the extensive rolling hills that fill the countryside. These are landscapes with rounded hills and low mountain ranges that are ~500-600 million years-old. Sheep, cows, goats, llamas, ostriches, armadillos, donkeys and horses stroll the land as they live their lives in this beautiful and unspoiled countryside. Vineyards and olive groves adorn the long, long views. Native trees sparkle the hills and shelter local fauna. The scent of native flowers and the mellow sound of streams provide a place for appreciation and contemplation of Pueblo Edén, an 83-soul community nestled in this gorgeous setting.

Susanne Tabet to niemiecka współczesna malarka abstrakcyjna, która mieszka i pracuje w Falls Church w Wirginii. Samouk zaczęła malować mając dwadzieścia kilka lat, kiedy wizyta w Tate Modern w Londynie rozbudziła jej pragnienie odtworzenia charakterystycznych abstrakcyjnych kobiecych portretów Amedeo Modiglianiego. Kontynuowała naukę i eksplorację dzieł innych wielkich mistrzów w dziedzinie abstrakcyjnego ekspresjonizmu, a przez lata rozwijała i ewoluowała swoje umiejętności i charakterystyczny styl osobisty. Koncentruje się na kobiecej formie, którą ożywia kontrastowymi kolorami i odważnymi, energicznymi pociągnięciami pędzla. Jej portrety emanują siłą i wrażliwością. Zdaniem Susanne Tabet odzwierciedlenie złożoności, piękna i siły kobiety.
