OVERVIEW
My inspiration spans from the subconscious mind, personal experiences, and feelings, or simply moments of stillness. My style is strongly influenced by Tamara de Lempicka, Francesco Clemente, and the German Expressionist art movement. I paint faces to translate emotions and simply follow where my intuition and imagination take me. This liberal process is wonderfully freeing as well as challenging. For me, it is the most profound way to connect and express the experience of being human: to belong, to feel, and to sense".

Susanne Tabet
Susanne Tabet is a German self-taught abstract figurative painter who lives and works in Northern Virginia. She began painting in her early twenties inspired by a visit to the Tate Modern in London, an experience that ignited her desire to replicate Amedeo Modigliani’s female portraits. She continued to study and explore the works of other great masters in the realm of modern art, and over the years developed and evolved her skills and distinct style.
Her focus remains on the female form which she brings to life with a vibrant palette and bold, energetic brush strokes. Her alluring portraits exude strength and vulnerability. In Susanne Tabet’s art, she portraits a reflection of the complexity, beauty and power of feminine energy.
