Tatiana Rugers is an internationally renowned contemporary painter based in Florida. Originally from Russia, her lifelong passion for art began at age eight during a transformative childhood art lesson. Although she initially earned a master’s degree in computer science and worked successfully as a corporate programmer, she ultimately followed her true calling, pursuing advanced art education across the USA, Italy, and France.

Today, Tatiana works as a full-time professional portrait and Trompe l’Oeil artist. Her distinctive style bridges her classical training in oil painting with a contemporary perspective, masterfully utilizing layering, impasto marks, and colored glazes. In her portraiture, she focuses on capturing the emotional essence and inner spirit of her subjects rather than a strict photographic copy.

Tatiana’s award-winning work has been exhibited globally—including in France, Italy, Germany, Japan, and the Netherlands—as well as locally across Florida museums and galleries. Her paintings reside in premier public and private collections worldwide. She is a dedicated educator who offers private classes and international masterclasses, and is a proud member of prestigious organizations including the Portrait Society of America and the American Impressionist Society.
