Mary Kaady

I'm a Lebanese visual artist with a master's degree in Fine Arts from the Lebanese University. Art for me is
the sound of the soul that's why I try to spread my art either by exhibiting or by teaching.

Artist: Mary Kaady

Culturally Arts Collective features:

"Voyage", June 17 - July 29 2022, Milostka Center for Exhibitions

What do you aim to say by the themes in your art?
Every theme comes from the emotions that I live in a certain period of my life. Every subject imposes itself on my artworks and ideas so it engages me in a situation that I cannot run away from; so I shape it in my art exactly like the death and the loss.
Where does your inspiration come from?
My inspiration comes from the material itself, from the meaning hidden behind every shape and material.
Do you have experiences that impacted your art?
The death of my dad has impacted my art; I felt so indulged in sorrow that it impacted the material that I used and the way I treated them.
Do you feel your art challenges existing barriers?
Art has always been challenging barriers forever until today. Every artist tries to challenge his predecessors by uniqueness, which is very hard to reach in a world full of artworks piled through times. I wish to leave a small fingerprint in the world of art which could be a major step in a such huge world.
What are your long-term artistic goals?

I wish to spread my art in many different countries and to develop my artistic culture more and more.
What advice do you have for aspiring artists?

I advise all emerging artists to be real and to do what they feel and not what the world and commercial art ask for.
