What do you aim to say by the themes in your art?

What I try to make most apparent in my works is the fact that I question everything. Especially things that are considered normal, or things that when inquired  about turn up the response "thats just how it works". Why? Why does it have to be that way?

Where does your inspiration come from?

Myself, a lot of the time, along with music, movies, books, etc. All I need is my brain and an idea to abstract into something completely different.

Do you have any experiences that have impacted your art?

My favorite thing I've done with my art is promote the local music scene, and get involved designing fliers/creating zines.

Do you feel your art challenges existing barriers?

Most definitely. I actively encourage everyone who comes into contact with my work to challenge anything and everything. Even gravity.

What are your long-term artistic goals?

One day I want to open my own gallery. Somewhere I can collect really cool pieces and show them off to my friends. I have a very unusual style and taste and I want to bring more attention to those who also have their own unique style in their work.

What advice do you have for aspiring artists?

Hmm. Research SEO blogging, and submit to every open call you can afford. Also, FAKE IT TIL YOU MAKE IT. It works, I'm not kidding.
