Retro Fusion: Nostalgia Reimagined Open Call

Concept of  exhibition

Experience the evocative allure of 'Retro Fusion: Nostalgia Reimagined,' an immersive exploration into the dynamic intersection of 00s culture and artistry. Embracing the vibrancy, eclecticism, and surrealism of 00s cartoons, stylized films and TV series like 'Totally Fucked Up' and 'Skins,' queer culture, and experimental thrillers akin to 'The Matrix' and 'Run Lola Run,' this exhibition redefines nostalgia for the modern era. Dive into a kaleidoscope of colors, characters, and concepts as artists reinterpret and re-imagine these influences through their unique
creative lenses.

"Retro Fusion: Nostalgia Reimagined" explores the unique charm of early 2000s culture. The exhibition celebrates the era's bold and eclectic style, focusing on 00s cartoons, films, TV shows, queer culture, and experimental thrillers. Artists will reinterpret these elements, showing how they can inspire fresh, modern art. This theme is about appreciating the past while creating something new and exciting.

We invite artists worldwide to submit their work for "Retro Fusion: Nostalgia Reimagined." This is open to painters, photographers, sculptors, mixed media artists, and digital artists inspired by the 2000s.

Emerging and mid-career artists are invited to submit their 2-d work and be considered to join our strong artistic community by exhibiting in our 360-degree 3-D gallery at the Milostka Center for Exhibitions
