Iryna Gotz is a Ukrainian-born artist who currently lives and works in Erfurt, Germany. Her paintings explore the delicate balance between classical technique and emotional depth, often capturing the "in-between" states of beauty, vulnerability, and transformation.
ARTIST STATEMENT
The artist’s practice explores vulnerability, corporeality, and inner transformation. In intimate painterly compositions, the human figure becomes a carrier of emotional and existential experience.
Bridging figurative tradition with an expressive painterly approach, the artist employs color, light, and texture as vehicles of psychological intensity. Symbolic imagery and metaphorical elements deepen the narrative, transforming personal experience into a universal visual language.
The works create a space of charged stillness in which the viewer is positioned between fragility and strength, isolation and metamorphosis.
